Manual Therapy is a discipline within a broader field of Orthopedic Physical Therapy focusing on a “hands on” approach to treatment. This clinical approach utilizes specific techniques including but not limited to soft tissue and joint mobilization.  Manual Therapy is used for the purpose of modulating pain, increasing range of motion, inducing relaxation, improving contractile and non-contractile tissue repair, facilitating movement and improving function.Sports and Spine’s clinicians take into account neurophysiology, histology, arthrokinematics, biomechanics and traumatology when evaluating and treating our patients.

Laser Therapy is is a non-invasive therapy that makes use of intense beams of light to help reduce pain related to injury.  It can be used on patients who suffer from a variety of acute and chronic conditions.

Unlike land base treatment, aquatic therapy uses the buoyancy of the water to permit less painful and more fluid movements. The decrease in gravity and body weight allows Sports and Spine’s clinicians to design a progressive strengthening program to build endurance and help you feel your best. Those who can benefit from aquatic therapy include sufferers of arthritis, low back pain, neurological disorders, injuries from sports and motor vehicle accidents, fibromyalgia, joint replacements and more.

Sports and Spine Physical Therapy, Inc offers a new exercise regimen designed at increase metabolism and burning fat while building lean muscle mass. Our program consists of an initial muscoloskeletal screening to determine any preexisting injuries. It incorporates multiple phases of weight training with complex exercises and short rest breaks producing an immediate caloric burn. 

NEUBIE is NeuFit’s patent-pending electrical stimulation device. Sports and Spine specializes in mechanical neck and low back pain. We utilize Manual Therapy techniques and state of the art pulley systems to address spinal injuries. Each patient has an individual problem that requires an individual treatment program.

In addition to restoring function to the injured athlete, Sports and Spine’s clinicians have the experience and expertise to design and properly administer a sports-specific training regimen.  Sports Specific Conditioning concentrates on specific conditioning related to an individual’s particular sport of interest.
